AIRPORT Please call us on 1800 247 600 when you arrive, the cost to you is per person (the bus company charges , we pay the remaining ). The Shuttle Bus operates between 5am and 8.30pm. If you arrive after this you will need to arrange your own transport. There are some airport shuttle buses operating until 12am, they charge per person. CENTRAL STATION From Central Station take the train (platform 24) to KINGS CROSS (only 7mins). Turn left out of the train station, and walk along Darlinghurst road. We are 50 metres up on the left hand side.

Welcome Funk House Backpackers

Here you are walking distance to every style of Pub, Nightclub, Restaurant and Cafe you can think of! No public transport nor expensive taxi ride home is required. Located in the heart & soul of Sydney, the Funk House is a unique, upbeat hostel famous for it's friendly social atmosphere and funky murals. With only 3 to 4 beds per dorm you can book a room with your mates. At the Funk House all our doubles and twins have TVs, fridges & duvets and rooms have fans to beat that summer heat. With its large common areas, Cable TV and a chilled rooftop terrace area with our famous weekly BBQ's you can relax & sink a couple of beers while watching the sunset over City and Harbour views. There is fully equipped kitchen for you to use and laundry facilities too.

From the Funk House it is an easy walk to Sydney's most famous attractions including the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Botanical Gardens, The Rocks, Sydney Tower, Darling Harbour and Sydney Aquarium & Taronga Zoo. The Funk House is just 200m from the train/metro and bus station giving you easy access to Sydney's best beaches including Bondi Beach and Manly Beach (where the first World Surfing Championships were held). If you are up the challenge 'learn to surf' or if not just kick back & work on the tan! Deposit and Cancellation Policy

The staff at the Funk House was very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to help plan our trip. We liked it so much we stayed an extra 4 days at the hostel! They had events for us almost every night as well as free dinner most nights. Thank you for choosing to book the FUNk House Backpackers. As we are such a busy hostel, we must ask you for a valid credit card number and expiry date. To confirm the reservation your card will be charged for the first nights stay. If you do not have a credit card or don't want it to be charged you must call or email us to make the reservation and discuss other options. Please be rest assured that our internet connection and management of credit card information is secure. On arrival, you are required to pay for the total nights you have booked. We accept payments by cash, credit card, eftpos or Australian dollar travellers cheques. If you need to cancel your booking a minimum of 36 hours notice is required, otherwise you will be charged for the nights you have booked. We will always strive to get you the room type booked and if you have booked multiple beds, we will always try to get you in the same room, please be aware that in some circumstances this may not be possible. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us and remember we are a licensed travel agency so we can help you with all your tours and travel bookings. SPECIAL XMAS AND NEW YEAR CONDITIONS PLEASE NOTE: - for all bookings made between 15th DECEMBER and 5th JANUARY, FULL payment will be taken at time of booking. This is to avoid any booking errors and ensure your booking is confirmed during this exceptionally busy period.
